There are an estimated 250 million footballers in the world and only a handful of scouts. Talent is everywhere; access is not. This is the kind of journey Goaliano was built for.
The gravel pitch
Siya grew up on a gravel pitch at the edge of his township, where the ball bounced wherever it liked and the goals were two bricks. He learned to keep it close because anything loose was gone. His father worked late. His mother watched from the kitchen window and called him in when the light went.
Nobody filmed those games. Nobody from a club ever stood on the touchline. He was, by every measure that mattered to the people who pick teams, invisible.
Eight clips on a borrowed phone
Years later, a neighbour lent him a phone. Siya read the filming guide twice, found a flat patch of ground and a friend to hold the camera, and recorded the eight drills in one long afternoon: sprint, dribbling, first touch, passing, shooting, heading, weak foot and a short game. Some takes were bad. He did them again.
What the evaluation said
The report didn't flatter him. His close control and first touch sat at the top of his profile; his weak foot and his heading were marked plainly as the areas to build. For the first time, the things his friends had only shouted from the side of the pitch had numbers next to them, and a training plan next to the numbers.
The trial
With a verified profile and a certificate anyone could check, Siya started sending his report to academies himself instead of waiting to be noticed. One of them asked him to come for a trial.
A trial is not a contract. It is a door that was closed and is now open. What happens next is up to him, and the plan pinned above his bed says exactly where to start.
Every talent deserves to be seen.
Goaliano gives every player a structured way to be measured and seen. It does not promise trials, contracts or selection by any club.
